The implementation of blockchain on\n\nInternet of Things (IoT) aims to secure the possibility of potential\n\nattacks against devices or transactions taking place on the IoT sys-\ntem. At practical levels, blockchain uses smart contracts to auto-\nmate programs according to predetermined terms and conditions.\n\nThis research is aimed at implementing an ethereum-based smart\n\nhome Smart Contract by modifying the device components, dash-\nboards, and consensus used in Xu et al.\u2019s research. The consensus\n\nmodification was performed by using Proof of Authority (PoA)\naiming to improve block verification performance on the system.\nThe Denial of Service (DoS) attacks and Single Point of Failure\n\n(SpoF) vulnerability were performed to evaluate the proposed sys-\ntem. The evaluation was performed with TCP Flood Attack, with\n\nrequest packets of 81,519 packets on port 8545 and ICMP Floods\n\nby sending 11,481,703 PING packets. The attack caused some ap-\nplication services running on the Ethereum Node 3 to stop, but\n\ndid not stop the geth application.
