The ant colony optimization (ACO) is\nimplemented in a hybrid evolutionary sizing method to automate\nanalog circuit design. This new meta-heuristic approach that com-\nbines the artificial intelligence of an ant colony and the 3D matrix\nmethod is developed to determine the optimal dimensions and the\nmain influencing performances of fundamental analog circuits\nand, including operational amplifiers (op-amps). The proposed\nmethodology uses ACO and Cadence Spectre as dimensioning\ntechniques and implementation platform, respectively.
