The presented\ninverter is one of the popular emerging topologies composed of a few\nswitches compared to conventional topologies in order to produce\na five-level output voltage. The optimization algorithm is applied\nto find the optimal commutation angles to implement the selective\nharmonic elimination by solving a system of transcendental non-\nlinear equations. The results of the computational simulations\nare in good agreement with the theoretical analysis. The method\nis simple compared with the analytical methods, effective for\ndriving the inverters and inexpensive to apply in real-time using\na low-price DSP\u2013Delfino-C2000-TMS320F28379D Chip. The\ntheoretical analysis is verified by simulation using MATLAB\/\nSimulink environment and an experimental prototype composed\nof efficient electronic components, respectively.
