Short Description of the Topic
The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been making significant strides in recent years, and healthcare is no exception. From image analysis to drug discovery, AI is being used in a wide range of applications to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs. The goal of this special issue is to highlight the latest advances in AI for healthcare, including both research and applications. We welcome submissions that cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
Machine learning for medical imaging
Natural language processing for clinical data
AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment
AI in drug discovery and development
Ethics and regulation of AI in healthcare
We invite researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to submit their original research, review articles, and case studies on the above-mentioned topics. All submissions will go through a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. We look forward to receiving your submissions and contributing to the advancement of AI in healthcare.
Manuscript Preparation and Submission
Please follow the guidelines provided on the website of the “Electronics” journal. Note that the manuscript must be submitted via the online submission system. During submission, please ensure that SS on Advances in Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare is selected as a topic. Use provided manuscript template to prepare your paper before submission. Upon the manuscript acceptance, the author will receive detailed instructions on how to prepare their work for printing.

Dr. Pawan Whig (ORCID iD: 0000-0003-1863-1591) is a renowned expert in the field of Artificial Intelligence and its applications in healthcare. He is currently Professor and Dean of Research in Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies ─ TC, New Delhi. He received his Ph.D. in VLSI Design from Jamia Millia Islamia University and has been working in the field of Artificial Intelligence for over 10 years. His research focuses on the application of machine learning in drug discovery and development. He has published over 100 papers in leading journals and conferences in the field, and his work has been widely cited. He is also an active member of several professional societies and has served as a reviewer and program committee member for several international conferences. He also has experience working in industry and has been involved in several AI-based projects in the pharmaceutical sector. He is known for his ability to translate academic research to practical applications and is highly respected in the field.
Dr. Pavika Sharma (ORCID iD: 0000-0002-9159-9041) is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology, GGSIPU, New Delhi. She has worked with Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida at the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Amity University Uttar Pradesh for 9 years. With more than 12 years of teaching and research experience, she has published 3 patents and more than 22 research articles and book chapters in reputed journals, conferences, and books. She is serving as a reviewer of reputed journals like IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Future Generation Computer Systems, Elsevier, Annals of Operations Research, Parallel Processing Letters (PPL), Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing and Physical Communication, Elsevier, etc. Her area of interest includes Wireless Communication & Networking, 6G, Internet of Things, Smart Cities, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Ashima Bhatnagar Bhatia (ORCID iD: 0000-0001-8347-8648) is an Assistant Professor (IT) in Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, and also affiliated with GGSIPU, Pursuing PhD (CSE), M. Phil. (Computer Science), MCA, B.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry), BLIS, PGDRTM. A competent professional in academics with more than 18 years of rich experience in academics and research in the varied areas of Computer Application / IT. She published many research paper in Springer, Scopus, and Microsystem Technology, and authored many IT books. She has expertise in delivering lectures for PG and UG students through required inputs and guiding the MCA / IT students for their industrial projects. She is an Editorial Board Member of “International Journal of Research & Development in Technology and Management Sciences IJRDTM”, “International Journal of Multidisciplinary Consortium” and “We School ─ Knowledge Builder ─ The National Journal”. She is an assessor ─ IT/ITES of Level 1 and Level 2 for National Institute of Open Schooling for NVEQF Project ─ Haryana Government.
